2005 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Rubicon â€" Power Tech 4L I-6 regular unleaded engine with 190HP, 6-speed manual transmission. This Rubicon pairs a stout inline-six with a direct-shift gearbox to deliver an engaging, tactile driving experience that rewards hands-on control and simple maintenance. Expect fuel economy typical for a robust six-cylinder of this vintage while enjoying the off-road capability and open-air freedom the Wrangler is known for.

Cloth seat upholstery provides a comfortable, breathable seating surface that remains welcoming through hot summer days and cooler weather alike.

The driver seat’s 4-way adjustability helps you tailor your driving position for better visibility and reduced fatigue on long drives or technical trail sections.

A 4-way adjustable front passenger seat lets your companion settle in for comfortable rides, whether you’re commuting or exploring rougher terrain.

The manual convertible roof gives you quick, distraction-free access to fresh air and sunshine, preserving the classic Jeep open-top feel without complexity.

Full-time-capable 4-wheel drive boosts traction when conditions turn sloppy or uneven, helping you stay composed on wet, loose, or rocky surfaces.

Part-time 4-wheel/all-wheel drive lets you call on extra traction only when necessary, so you maintain predictable on-road handling when pavement conditions are normal.

The inline six-cylinder layout delivers smooth, linear power that feels composed at highway speeds and tractable at lower rpms for off-road crawling.

An OHV pushrod design emphasizes early low-end torque, making it easier to launch from stops and tackle steep or technical sections without constantly revving.

Sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection improves cold starts, sharpens throttle response and helps the engine run more efficiently across a range of temperatures.

Mechanical ignition keeps the powertrain straightforward and serviceable, appealing to owners who prefer easy-to-understand systems and simpler maintenance.

The removable soft top expands versatility so you can switch quickly between covered comfort and full open-air motoring as the mood or weather dictates.

Front fog lights enhance visibility in low-contrast conditions, making it easier to see the road and be seen when fog or haze reduces normal headlight effectiveness.

Altogether, this 2005 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Rubicon offers an honest, driver-focused package: rugged mechanicals, genuine off-road capability and the classic convertible Jeep experience. If you value straightforward upkeep, engaging shifts from a 6-speed manual and the freedom of an open-top vehicle that can also handle rough weather and trails, this Rubicon is worth a closer look.

The 99 Jeep with the 4.0 will get close to 500,000 miles if maintained . These engines are the best that Jeep ever produced. They are bulletproof

      27 years and still awesome!

by Daniel on 5/23/2024 4:40:14 PM

I bought my chili pepper-red, '98 Wrangler Sport in Nov. of 1997 and it has 117,000 miles on it (I take public transportation to work and it's garaged the majority of the time). I've had zero problems with it all these years. The 4.0 engine is one of the most highly rated engines ever built. I've replaced the clutch and muffler once and am on my 3rd soft top (so easy to replace on your own). I have the top down all summer with just a bikini top over the cab. What a fun ride! It's easy to customize even older Wranglers thanks to the many after-marked outfitters. It still looks brand new.
