Read on to see how the Sorento compares to the competitors and how it can improve your driving life.
Kia Sorento: The Kia Sorento offers two engine options for Castle Rock drivers, including a 281-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Higher trims can come with a center locking differential, all-terrain tires, 4,000 pounds of towing capacity, and 17-inch wheels, providing some off-road capability.
Toyota Highlander: The Toyota Highlander offers a 265-horsepower turbocharged engine, and is not particularly fun to drive, unlike the Sorento. It offers more towing capacity at 5,000 pounds, but does not provide any other helpful off-roading features.
Chevrolet Traverse: The Chevy Traverse gives the Sorento a run for its money with 328 horsepower and 5,000 pounds of towing. With a few good off-road-leaning features, the Traverse can help you go off the beaten path around Colorado Springs. However, the Sorento still beats the Traverse in fuel efficiency, offering 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway compared to the Traverse's 20 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.
Kia Sorento: The Kia Sorento provides quite a nice cabin for Falcon residents to get comfortable in. An attractive layout, nice materials, and solid build quality ensure you can relax and enjoy every moment in the cabin. Ambient lighting is standard, as well as stitched surfaces on door panels and many cubby holes. With three rows, you can seat up to seven people and get a maximum cargo capacity of 75.5 cubic feet.
Toyota Highlander: While the Toyota Highlander offers a good quality cabin, it lacks the stylish charm of the Kia Sorento. It still offers three rows, but only provides around 57 cubic feet of maximum cargo space behind the second row.
Chevrolet Traverse: The Chevy Traverse remains the stiffest competition for the Kia Sorento, as it offers three rows of eight comfortable seats with up to 97.6 cubic feet of cargo space. That is a significant bump that is hard to ignore. With several large cubby holes and storage options, the Traverse remains convenient and versatile, too. However, the Kia Sorento is the more stylish of the two models.
Kia Sorento: If there is any area in which the Kia Sorento far outclasses both the Toyota and Chevrolet, it is with its warranties. Expect a Limited Warranty that covers 5 years of 60,000 miles and a Powertrain Warranty that covers up to 10 years of 100,000 miles.
Toyota Highlander: Expect a Limited Warranty of up to 3 years or 36,000 miles and a Powertrain Warranty of up to five years or 60,000 miles for the Highlander.
Chevrolet Traverse: The Chevy Traverse offers the same warranties as the Highlander, falling way behind the Kia Sorento.
