I’ve owned my 2004 X3 with manual stick shift for 7 years and driven it about 10,000 miles each year. I paid $5200 for it. The only “repair”done was a $10 recharge for the air conditioning which I did myself. It now has 166,000 miles on it and it’s never given me a minute of trouble. It will be needing new shocks here soon but 7 trouble free years out of a $5200 car is spectacular.
Cargo space is great and, being a stick, it’s fun to drive, very responsive and quick acceleration. It does require premium gasoline but I spend around $25 a week on gas.

you have to keep up with everything,replace your accessories when needed and prevenative maintenance a must. Other that that its a great car…
